Should I sell my car for cash to a scraper?

I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina that is hard to sell since rocker panels are corroded. I had 6 people look at car and they didn't like these rocker panels. Junk yards will pay up $225 for car. I read where scrap prices are up now. A guy I work with thought I could get $600 for my car as scrap. Should I expect to get anymore for car through a scrap yard or should I sell it to a junk yard?
