Is getting $225 for this car the best I can do?

I have a 1995 chevy Lumina with over 168,000 miles on it. The car still runs well. I had 7 people out to look at the car for which I asked $500 but everyone walked away and didn't offer to buy it. The problem is the rocker panels are so corroded and this turned people off and they know it is expensive to pass inspection. There is a place that will buy it for $225 and the car will be crushed. I feel like I am giving the car away for this little bit of money. Since nobody wanted to buy the car I guess this is the best I can do. Is getting rid of this car for $225 a good deal?
