Should I just get a junk yard to buy this running vehicle?

I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina that still runs well but the body is bad. The car looks good and has a good body except for corroded rocker panels. I would feel comfortable driving the car except it would be costly to replace these panels and don't want to fix it myself. I tried to sell the car for only $450 to six people that looked at it and these rocker panels turn them off. I can still get some money from a junk yard but felt someone might buy it from me for the little bit of money I am asking. Does it sound like I should still try to sell this running vehicle or just get what I can from a junk yard?
