Do you think this is too much?

I have a 1996 Chevy Lumina with the 3.1 engine and 105,000 miles on it. The fuel injector on the number 5 cylinder has failed. The mechanic I have the car at is quoting me $561 to replace it. He says in order to get at it, they have to remove the upper section of the intake manifold.
